The Problem


Mothers navigating the transition into and after pregnancy often struggle with a loss of personal identity, pressure to bond, and mom guilt over missed moments.

These challenges affect both their mental health and their sense of self beyond the role of caregiver.




















Postpartum Depression (PPD)


A severe mood disorder after childbirth, marked by sadness, anxiety, and difficulty functioning.

Baby Blues


A mild mood disturbance after childbirth, including sadness, irritability, or tearfulness.

Computer vision tracks warp/weft tension and hand movement, generating responsive sound

Researching existing loom systems and prototyping across a variety of methods

Machined the base using Aspire 4.0 on the CNCHammer-drilled into found rocks


Naturally dyed yarn using tea and food-based stains
